My mom and I made this together.. She baked the cake and got all the preparations done, and I helped decorate, spread chocolate, and stick the shredded chocolate to the sides of the cake.

It was lots of fun! But kind of hectic, too And considering we really didn't know what we were doing, I'd say it turned out pretty good :3 Not to mention, it was so delicious and moist!

The main cake is chocolate devil's food cake with chocolate butter creme frosting and grated chocolate around the outside. The dollops of what should be whipped cream were just circles of fondant with cherries on top, since my mom thought it would be a better way to go rather than trying to preserve the cream on the cake.

The companion cubes were just square-ish slices of pound cake with a layer of more butter creme frosting underneath the fondant decorations on top.

I would say this was a HUGE SUCCESS
