I see it everyday and it's still an inspiration to my work. I'm quite surprised such an unimportant castle was brought up in your architecture lesson. Conisbrough Castle is a proper castle though and one of the best in the country I think.

Actually it's pretty famous, we studied the castles and I liked the construction of the keep, it's unusual and original.in Russian it is called 'donjon'

It's great to hear that. Nice to know its so unusual it has its own name. I think its had quite an impact on my work and I will probably paint it many more time sin the future.
