As a bit of an explanation - I'm 46 now and since I was about 11 have had a severe problem with anxiety/depression. Been a Christian for most of my life and have had to work thru (and still contend at times) being a Christian and having such a difficult problem. Many times in the depths of despair (even a few times when I was in a psych hospital) I have felt God's presence, love, peace and reassurance that he IS WITH ME............................His compassion and MERCY. That's what this painting is of. Wish I had the smokin' muscles of the dude I painted, alas...age and Oreo's!! I made him muscular to emphasize that 'strength' can easily be brought low.Related content

Shawn; had to comment. A lot of heart in this one. Shows not only hurt, but healing. The dove is three dimensional, like I'm wearing 3d glasses...nice!
