Shaya wasn't sure what this sacrifice would offer as she blended the salt and sage. Pouring it on the raven's caress, she folded the instruction Jasper had given. Plucking the feather, placing it near her eyes, she mimicked what he had done. And before she realized what was happening, the remaining life force of the raven passed through its eyes into hers.

Shaya gasped as the LIN room disappeared. Flashes of things to come, events that had yet to unfold flashed before her eyes. She blinked several times, her eyes watering as she fell to her hands and knees. Her heart began racing while the visions shifted through events until it settled on Rayven.

"Rayven," she whimpered, reaching for him.

He was older, almost as old as Cain. His short mane now down passed his shoulders. He laughed lightly at a shadowy figure behind him. Until he turned, his eyes widening in horror as he silently screamed. Suddenly there was blood everywhere. He grasped at his throat, wheezing for air as he fell to his knees, choking.

"Rayven!" she screamed in terror, tears streaming down the curve of her cheek. "Rayven! NO!!!"

Another figure ran for him, tall and muscular built, the blonde haired man ran for her son. But she couldn't see his face. He pulled Rayven into his arms, screaming and crying, rocking back and forth. Bending low, he kissed Rayven's lips while Rayven smiled up at him.

Suddenly the vision ended and Shaya was pulled back into the LIN room, trembling, unable to collect her thoughts while Jasper looked at her worried.

"Miss Shaya?"

"I'm sorry, Professor. I can't talk about it."
