Hahaha I am SO poor at digital coloring... well I suppose I haven't really given it a proper go, I've never really sat down and used it to color.
I don't really want to, though.
I like seeing what I can make happen with my hands!
Though some digital art just absolutely blows me out of the water, it's beautiful in its own right.
Pizza and Chocolate scenario, y'know?

Its SO hard to transition from traditional to digital D8 Especially when you have nothing but internet tutorials to help you. I dont want to either XD But i figure if i want to have a good paying career in art, then im gonna have to learn, gosh dernnit
Yes, traditional is more personal, i think. 83 less cold than on a computer, if that makes sense.
I KNOW! ;o; It makes me jealous. Especially when someone digitally creates a beautifully realistic landscape, and say it only took them 5 hours to do. GAH >.<
i have no idea what that means 8D

I know! I'm just a crotchety old fashioned lady I suppose. I would make art my career, but I'm very passionate about music as well... still, I find myself working at a gallery, and commissioning art... leaning pretty heavily toward art for someone who is apparently only doing this in her spare time. xD
I'd love to see you make a career in art! You could totally make it happen. And digital teachings will definitely get you that extra foot- er, more like MILE- in the door.
Pizza and chocolate scenario- totally, completely different- but both well loved and needed. OwO
And so it is for artists as well.

Well who says you cant do both things you love? 83 It just means extra income!
If i dont get into an art career, my mum will kill me XD Ha ha. Nah but shes really supportive of it, im glad i have a parent like that who wants me to work by doing something i love to do, rather than someone who wants me to be a doctor or something XD
And yeah digital skills would look a lot better on my resume
ahhh i see X3 I'll have to use that one, and watch people look at me like im crazy XD Im not sure that its a common expression here

You are SO right.
The more the merrier, man- oh, and the dollars don't sting too bad either.
My mom is sort of like yours- supportive of my happiness first, not what titles I can achieve.
I am endlessly appreciative of that, we're both very lucky to have supportive moms!
As for that saying, it's not common anywhere but at my house... that's a Michelle tard-ism.

Certainly is better to have a bit of extra income in these trying times. 83
Go moms! 8D
Well since its a michelle tard-ism, I MUST learn it >8D

Nope! The colors, blending and inking are all by hand.
The technique I use to get that color fading is a tool called an invisible blender- it's a prismacolor led that has no color, just a clear led- and it mixes the colors till the edges blur.
The only thing I did to enhance it was brighten the colors- my scanner often scans the picture lighter than it actually is. ^_^

I think I'm getting a cold too. Thank the gods LOTR: Two Towers was on television to take my mind of it. And damn my sister for taking the DVD's to her London flat.
Oh, and the pic is cool too.
