Description OH MY GOODNESS IT'S FINALLY FINISHED.

Inspired by this page of Today Nothing Happened , I finally went and did it. I made a D&D party.... for grammar (with party members based ever-so-slightly on actual friends).

I'm stupidly proud of all the little details in this! And it was way too much fun thinking up everyone's abilities -- got some help from ~actoratheart for a few of them. I'll admit, I've wanted to do an illustration like this for SOME TIME.

Hoping to have prints of this at Otakon, and after that they'll be available online! I'll update with links when it's official. c:

The entire thing was amusing, but it didn't quite break the lol barrier until the Barbarian of Chatspeak. XD Wow. I am pretty hugely in love with this piece of yours.

Ahhhhh thanks! xD Admittedly, the ideas for the Barbarian of Chatspeak were what finally made me go "okay this needs to be a print."

Hahahaha, not right now! That is probably years in the future, my friend.

First of all, I'm doing Runewriters at the moment, and it is planned to be several years in length! I don't have much time for a new comic when I already have one that takes 15 hours a page + a day job!

But also.... I first started posting Runewriters concepts on DeviantArt in 2007, and didn't start the comic itself until 2011. These things spend a little while in development! I'll deeeefinitely update all over the place when I have a solid start date, but right now I'm not really thinking about it. I have a lot of other projects -- some on DA, some not -- that I'm hoping to do at some point, but they're all on the backburner for now. :3 One thing at a time. c:

Heh, I can understand that-I've been tossing around a few ideas for years, this one in particular that I had a dream about recently (I actually dreamed that I was animating it with Glen Keane to present to Disney exects-SO AWESOME) and none of them have really come to fruition yet. Not being able to find a job doesn't really help. D8

It's tough to get a project off the ground! One thing I've seen as a lot of help is to set deadlines and times for it, as if it were a school project -- "This is job-hunting time, but every Tuesday between this hour and this hour is Special Project Time." Just having a time where you sit down and work out SOMETHING, even if you're still just muddling through plot things and trying to get it solid, helps make it feel like something you're moving forward on rather than "oh one day I'll have time for this." Truth is, you'll never have time for it unless you set it aside!

Once you're in the stages of "okay I know what I'm doing with this, I just need to get pages done/finish this other thing so I can have time/finish the script/etc." then setting a deadline helps, even if that deadline is malleable, like "March of next year."

That's what's been helpful for me, anyway. Best of luck with all your stuff!

Thanks, that is a good idea! I tried that with my webcomic Monkey with a Pencil (didn't last, what with the ending up family-less and homeless, would be dead in a ditch somewhere if not for the kindness of my now-boyfriend and his family, who took me in) and it really helped if I had a particular day that they had to be uploaded on. I'd like to get another slice of life project going, I think I'm going to do it on Blogspot though, sort of hyperbole and a half style with mostly written, but pictures to go with it (if you haven't read Hyperbole and a Half, do so! It's hilarious!) to give it a bit of extra zing, y'know?

That'll have to wait until I'm done making this plush for my boyfriend's nephew and making all these apricots into jam. XD So many jars and pots all over!
