Drawn in pencil and painted in photoshop.Things have been a bit crazy lately - with going on holliday, starting my new job and finding out my pairents are splitting up, thats why I have not done much art as of late.
But I decided to go back and finish off this painting. Which considering I still only have my laptops finger mouse and not a graphics tablet pet to use yet, I dont think it turned out too bad? lol...
The albino/ ice drow is warning off the curious adventurer from coming any closer to her home. Normaly a drow would not wait for an explanation for such an intrusion. But there is curiosity from both sides of the coin and she pauses to admire the fact that he made it this far into the ice caves!
I have also put on my gallery two close ups of the characters, so to let you see the detail better.

I'm very sorry to hear that your parents are splitting up, that must be very upsetting for you. I hope things work out as amicably as possible between them.
I still can't believe you paint with a mouse. I can't begin to think how you got a result like this with using one!
Overall it a really nice image. I think the ice drow turned out particually well

It is upsetting at the mo because I am trying to be the sensible surportive eldist daughter but it still effects every one. Especialy since my dad has decided to have a affair, and exspects my mum to understand its because they driffted apart.
I found, for sale, the graphic tablet you suggested it is a A5 size? I just thought I should check that it is write?

The graphics tablet I use has a drawing area that is A5 size. The actual tabblet itself is bigger than this. You can get bigger tablets but I find this ok, after all you usually only work on one area at a time. I nearly always draw the images first with pencil on paper and then scan this in for colouring.

DA have fixed the site so that you can zoom in and take a look at the finer detail in my pic. Especially the closer up character ones of my cold encounters painting if you like?

I really like those background colors, and all the little specific details like on her boot and the shape of the ice really make this fun to study. Beautiful!
