Description My dad.

He wanted to wear a costume to his work's christmas party at Teato ZinZanni's (I'm so jealous) to avoid getting called up to participate in activities (or so he heard would happen through the grapevine for unsuspecting people that didn't dress up). So I put together this costume for him in about a week. The picture is horrible so you can't see much detail (I'll try to get more pictures later) but the pants, vest, shirt and jacket were all purchased at Goodwill.

I sewed a silver liner on the sides of the pants (can't see that of course -- horrible photography and lack of time are at fault) and made a silver embrodiered sash to serve as a belt type thinger. I covered the originally plain black vest with an awesome red and black cross embrodiered fabric that unraveled like the devil. I hated sewing the button-holes. What a bitch.

Now I just realized that he wasn't wearing his cool Greek fisherman's hat when I was snapping pictures...I'll get it later but I'm pissed that I forgot that. It was lined with leftover material that I used to line his pants...

As for the jacket, I really lacked the motivation to do justice to it. It was a good look but the color made it impossible for me to get excited about trying to make it match the rest of the outfit. And my dad wanted those braids along the side...what was i to do? He was wearing it. *shrug* Put some fabric on the collar and pockets to highlight it. But not my fav.

Oh well, I'm done now.
