hehe, I understand the feeling I hand sew as well.[ A small singer machine is dusty in my home from never being used. ]
Anytime it is a pretty piece.

I think I would be less afraid of them if they weren't so noisy! I'm also terrified of the needle snapping and hitting me in the eye. O__O

ah, that would be a good reason not to use a machine. Your hand sewing skills are amazing though. You don't need a machine.
