“Dammit..” Emmett cursed as he fell on the bed. “It’s all my fault.”

The Dog-eared mage and his partner returned to their inn room after failing to capture a Bounty. The man they were chasing had been confirmed to be a dark mage involved in demon summoning and Emmett was hoping to catch him.

Ryume watched Emmett sink into the bed with a frown. She knew Emmett takes his failures a bit harder than most. The Amazon walked over to the edge of the bed and sat down to look at Emmett.

“Emmett, you’re being too hard on yourself.”

“He got away because of me….”

“He got away because of he put people lives in danger and we had to help them.”

“But, I could have done more….thought of a better plan, acted quicker….”

Ryume sighed and got off the floor. Emmett was being stubborn, but she knew the perfect way to cheer him up. With a smug grin, Ryume flopped on top of the Bed.

“GAA! Ryume!” Emmett yelled as the giant fighter laid on top of him.

The two struggled in the bed for a second as Ryume grabbed Emmett and tossed him on top of her and wrapped legs around him. Emmett found himself between Ryume’s breasts looking into her eyes.

“Relax” She said with a smile.

“Mhmmm” Emmett sank into Ryume’s embrace

“Our bounty may have escaped, but we know his face, we know his tricks. Next time we’ll be ready to kick his ass.”

“Yea” Emmett smiled. “Thanks, Ryume.”
