The only regions not complete controlled by the Fire Nation Western, Northern, Southern and Eastern Colonies (who were collectively known as the Colony Continent, ruled by Colonial Queen Azula from New Azula (former Ba Sing Se) directly, even if the overall colonies were administrated and taxed from New Ozai (Omashu).

“How can you say that?” questioned Aang, “It can't get any worse then this.” said Avatar Aang sounding quit frustrated and defeated by now.

“The Northern Water tribe is still independent, a good place for you to learn Waterbending and so are parts of the Southern Water Tribe, even if some have sworn alelgence and pay tribute to Ozai as well.” tried Katara to sound optimistic.

“Not to mention those Southern Water Tribe groups who serve the Fire Nation as raiders and pirates.” corrected Sokka and quickly got hid by his sister for doing so, as she tried to keep Aang's hope up height.

“Zuko is right, not all is lost yet, our rebellion and your return have inspired the people to rise up against the Fire Nation all over the Earth Kingdom.” smiled Toph, knowing that Earthbenders were stubborn enough to not give up that easily, no matter how desperate the situation might look.

“Yeah you give them hope and according to the White Lotus many more wish rise up as well very soon.” smiled Uncle Iroh.

“These rebellions will help distract my sister Azula and once she can't get the situation in the colonies under control, she will try to fix things herself with the Lavabenders and the Dai Lee, meaning she will have to leave the capital and regroup garrisons, giving those areas the chance to rebel and take back control as well.” was Zuko certain how Azula might act once, the rebellious provinces would not easily be defeated from her throne in the capital of New Azula.

“This situation will only increase once the Fire Nation Navy will heavy to conquer the North Pole Water Tribe to rule all of the world, clearly my brother Ozai could not resist such a claim.” explained Iroh and Zuko nodded.

“That is exactly why the Siege of the North Pole might be our chance, if we stop and defeat the Fire Nation Navy and Army there, the colonial garrisons will be massively depleted and weakened, giving us a chance to rally the local resistance and rebellion groups behind the Earth King and the Avatar to free the continent.” explained Sokka, confident that he had a well thought out plan how they all would be able to do it if they timed it right, used their White Lotus and resistance connections and waited for Azula and Ozai's arrogance and megalomania to get the better of them.

“But I still haven't finished learning Water-bending and Earth-bending yet, let alone Fire-bending.” said Aang panicked sounding.

“Yes, but for the Siege of the North Pole Water-bending will do, so hat's our current priority, after that Earth-bending might help us in our liberation rebellion of the Earth Kingdom from Fire Nation Colonial rule.” explained Katara, that while the time was running short for them, he did not have to master everything all at once, as long as Fire Lord Ozai was far away in his Palace in the Fire Nation and Azula too would most likely not be present herself during the Siege of the North Pole as she had to run and keep the Colonies under control.

“Whoever we might face in the North, we will outsmart and out-skill them together.” promised Iroh, who knew that he had knowledge about the skills and characteristics of most important Fire Nation Admirals and Generals and that their group and the White Lotus combined had one of the best benders and masters of all Four Nations combined to defeat the Fire Nation invasion force that was gathered right now. All things considered, they still had a chance, especially as the Sandbenders and Beetle-Headed Merchant warlords compromised Fire Nation tributes, supplies and reinforcements trough the Si Wong Desert, meaning they had to take the much longer northern land-routes or southern sea routes to avoid massive causalities. Especially as the Beetle-Headed Merchants and the Sand-benders might switch sides to the rebels for the right trade, tax and provincial independent government promises, since the Fire Nation threatened their newfound power and independence like it had done to the Air Nomads, the Earth Kingdom and now the Northenr and Southern Water Tribes.
