I got to thinking about sunkern recently since I actually like Sunflora quite a bit. And then I remembered that people put sunflower seeds in bird feeders in winter don't they? What would happen if sunkern were put in there instead and those that survived the ordeal would adapt?

The one on the right is an alternative version made to look more like an actual sunflower seed.

Pokedex Lore Summary:
Sunkern was once imported to the Fenno region en mass to feed flocks of bird fakemon during the region's harsh winters. However some sunkern survived and took on a new form due to a lack of sunlight.
When the Sunflora evolved from these sunlight and frostbitten sunkern, they too adapted a new form. They spend the winter under the snow cover by digging into the snow with their leaves. You can sometimes spot whole fields of them suddenly emerge from the snow, as they stick their long necks out to catch the four hours of sunlight per day of Fenno's winters. Other than that the sunkern are easily scared and the sunflora are always dour.

Gameplay ideas:
I have no idea about their types (Other than Grass of course) and what have you, perhaps ghost or something?
However I do like the idea that their abilities would basically do the same thing but without needing the sun. Such as Chlorophyll being changed to Rattled, maybe Hustle instead of Solar Power? I have no thoughts for the Hidden ability.
