Thank you very much! They are such humorous animals! I was blessed that some came in close to shore so I could get a couple shots! I do not believe it is their norm.

Oh I love them too.. seems like it was the year for them for me. Sadly I think it is due to the global warming. I have never seen so many interactive and close to shore otters. Great for photography, but I am not to certain about how good it is for our habitat.

Thank you, this is one of my faves. They really hammed it up. I read in my local news yesterday that we have an overabundance of them in the bay right now...time for me to pack up the tripod and hunt them down!

I use a Sony A-100 and used the 70-300 on this. Sad thing is I was on a lunch trip and wasn't thinking, so left tripod at home...I thought of it about 15minutes away..debated on grabbing it..thought..nahhhh it's lunch..Then POW I find these lovely little otters playing around.. and beating myself in the head without my tripod!! I went back to the spot days later, with my tripod..but they the cute little guys were gone.

I take my tripod with me everywhere!

It was a pair actually. I have a set of hmm 6 (?) images of them in my gallery. I found them cuddling each other in Moss Landing.
