Description After 25 hours of work, 15 of which were dedicated to beading, hand pleating, attaching sequins one at a time, hand-stringing and then knotting several hundred individual strands of chainette, I give you...The Neverending String Belt Project.

This particular belt consists of two hand-beaded medallions that have been trimmed with a grosgrain pleated ruffle, salvaged coin trim, and a satin gathered ruffle, mounted on a found belt base. The belt base was given a satin hand pleated ruffle along its length from medallion to medallion, and on the backside sports a strip of grosgrain ribbon that has been sewn into the belt base as a backbone to support several hundred strands of chainette. On the front side of the belt, hundreds of sequins and many many beads have been hand sewn on, and some salvaged coin trim coins have been dangled from beaded strands for movement and flash. Five chainette tassels hang from the belt as well, ensuring that every single movement made is exaggerated by the chainette. It has string and ribbon ties to hold it on my hips.

I am willing to make a custom one like it, on request. See my Etsy listing here: [link]
