Here is a picture of my old dog, who no longer lives with me, but with other members of my family, and she has been there from since I can remember (which is quite a while). I think its the sadess image I have ever taken of her, she looks sad her eyes are totally black now, little life. But in a strange way thats why I like it so much.

I agree with ~si-monty about how you have cropped it to get the attenton to the eyes. Also just how black and deep they are really affects it.

It's the way that you have focused on her eyes from such an angle that helps portray this image of sadness. Also the cropping of her nose and mouth so again, just the eyes are focused on concentrates the viewersβ attention. This is obviously a very special photo to you. Very good.

Thank you, yeh she is very special to me, and I think this is the only image that kind of make me think she is, just cause she is so old and unwell and its her eyes that tell it, the fact there is that small speck of light in that darkness!
