BetelGammamon in Digimon Ghost Game is like the "aka-oni" (red oni/鬼)'s child in appearance, a ninja in physical movement, and the flames of his special move are like onibi(鬼火).
He is a digimon of quite a Japanese-style design, I think.

Incidentally, "oni"(鬼) is usually translated into English as "demon", but actually Japanese people imagine oni to be very diverse and quite different from the European image of a demon.
1, Frightening oni that bring disease and disaster and devour people, which is similar to Western demons.
2, A fearsome but powerful, brave and awe-inspiring oni, which is similar to the image of Thor in Norse mythology, for example.
3, Child oni, which is sometimes imagined as a powerful but kind-hearted oni.
BetelGammamon is, in the basic sense, 3, I think. He also has a brave and fighting spirit in him, so that's where 2 adds to it.
