I'm gona be real, it's so nice to see someone out here appreciating kvn. i feel a lot of the fandom hatred for him is just like ??? ok then, hes a fun character cmon... but i might be biased he instantly became one of my faves since before i watched.

yeah!!! honestly a lot of the hate for him feels super performative cuz the show tells you he’s the annoying one. but i’ve always been one to love the annoying character just to spite the show, so naturally kvn became my Big Fave.

thats true and same here! honestly when shows/games point out "this is the annoying and terrible character" half the time im like well guess this ones my favorite now : ) and ill show them the apprecation they deserve since no one else will.

KVN is ruthlessly effective when the situation demands it and I really hope this episode will force people to accept that as a real part of his character, there's way more to him than just "tag-along comedy relief."

EXACTLY I adore Gary's feverish hatred of him because it's just such a hilarious detail of the character interaction but I've never felt the slightest impulse to share in that hatred myself and when I watched the show for the first time recently and read the other reactions people had I was just kinda like ???

YEAHHH i feel like people didn’t realize gary’s unexplained hatred of kvn was just the show’s running gag and thought they were supposed to do the same cuz gary’s the main character. but that’s also coming from me who commonly loves to love characters the narrative tells me is the “annoying one”. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

EXACTLY the fact that Gary's reaction to KVN is way out of proportion (though I obviously can't speak for someone cooped up with him for 5 straight years) is why it's FUNNY
The show's taken such unexpected turns with the status quo that I'm fully strapped in for a KVN arc even if it's just a little one—there's so much potential in the idea of being manufactured to prevent deep space insanity while being apparently vulnerable to the same human problems yourself (if the fate of the deranged KVNs is any indication)!

And I'd LOVE to see him bond with someone on the team! Not Gary...Gary ain't ready for that much awesome...maybe somebody else underrated like Fox. Like...Fox starts hanging out with him just to bug Little Cato but then they unironically become friends and bug everybody even more...imagine
