Ok, have you read ALL of the dearth maul books and comics out there? I have and I own them all since Iβm a Darth maul lover. If not I will tell you this: he actually kills WAY MORE bad guys than good guys! So your points are invalid now because even though you may side with the good guys you kinda side with the bad too because you wish that he was never a Sith Lord and a serial killer whom killed thousands of bad guys and very few good guys.

Sadly they wanted a samurai master duel where the battle is over quick, but they had it be to quick. Because the shorter the battle the better the fighters would be is their reasoning so the fight lasting that long or longer would mean they weren't that good.
