Description

Introducing a new set of characters dubbed the Scarlet Silvers. In addition to my main roster (for reference sake, they will be called the Scarlet Platinum), these lovable fighters serve as the Scarlet Resort's midcard roster. They might not share the floor with the big names like Alice Blackburn and Nofre Ra, but they do a good job standing on their own two feet, having their own subplots and rivalries with one another, and shooting their shots to win tournaments and championship belts made with their status as the hype crew in mind.

With that said, the Silvers aren't barred from fighting the main roster and Georgia, Iris, Hoshiko, Alex and Grazia all make fairly common appearances in the Silver's matches.

Below are a brief summary of each character, from left to right - I hope you all enjoy!!

Pearl
“You’re pathetic! A snivelling weakling!”
“Useless!”

“Have you learned nothing!?”

“The trash outside has more value than you!”

These insults and many more like them were hurled at Pearl Stacy daily by Leslie Adams, the Scarlet Resort’s lead Barhop and coach of many of it’s fighting staff…
There was once a time where Pearl wanted to be a baseball star. In her youth she trained and played in little leagues and had a dream to be a star player in a fancy team that would play overseas. Maybe even see her name on TV. Maybe she’d make her family proud.

If only they could see her now…

Those dreams were dashed when she stopped being picked for teams, and was sidelined for better players. More experienced. More talented. She was told she was average, and average was not enough.
So she turned to finding a new purpose. She found herself a cushy job serving tables at the Scarlet Resort. It paid okay but it was boring to Pearl. After a few months, she was approached by Victoria Price, the owner, and was offered a place inside the underground arena that the Resort complex housed. She would be trained, paid well, and she might even become a professional. Should be easy, right? Wrong.

Much like baseball, Pearl wasn’t the worst, but everyone else was better. And Leslie, her teacher, was a cruel mistress. She publicly shamed and admonished Pearl’s mediocrity and ridiculed her attempts at fighting back. One day something inside Pearl snapped after a fierce tongue lashing from her coach, and she stormed out of the gym, never to return. But she never left the Resort, she hid herself away in the rarely used, but never neglected kid’s activity room.

That was where she met Abigail - former champion of the Scarlet Resort.

Neither was one for chat, if anything Pearl thought Abigail was a little nuts and rather unnerving and was correct in her assumption. But the kids activity room was littered with Abigail’s trophies, her achievements…why were these not displayed in the halls with Nofre Ra and Alice Blackburn’s? Why were they celebrated, but Abigail was shunned and forgotten?

“Becaussssse I am a monsssterrr. A forgottennnnn reliccc that wassssss to be buried with Victoria’sssss new outlook on what bloodssssport should be. A disgusssting fake!”

Abigail’s explanation drove a stake in Pearl’s heart. A damn good champion being thrown away because times had changed? It made her blood boil. It made her soul cry with a fervor Pearl had not felt in her life.

“I don’t care if you sit here and hide for all eternity. I am going up there to show them all what they’re missing out on! I don’t need Leslie’s shitty lessons!” Pearl was filled with conviction as she took up her bat and gave it a
few practice swings.

“I’m going up there and I’m gonna cave in every skull ever taught by Leslie with this thing - and I know they won’t stop me.”

Pearl gave Abigail a look. One that told her that she was grateful they met. Now both could be insane together.

“There are good fighters up there, Abi. Let’s go hurt them!”

Akamu
A university student making ends meet by working at a 5-star resort? Sounds pretty normal, right? Akamu is just that. Normal. He’s not tied down to legacy, nor does he have anything to prove, he’s just at the resort to work the 9-5 Desk Job and make some extra cash to pay his for his education with a good ol fashion smackdown.

Akamu practices the fighting style of Sumo, using his size to massive advantage. In his offtime, he also plays football for the local team, where his skills are not only a great way to help him tackle the opposition, but it’s free training he can exploit and prepare himself for the fights he partakes in.

Akamu is known in the resort as a man with an unbreakable positivity that makes him the best company for even the worst people. He tries to be positive with everyone and cherishes the moments where it is returned in kind.

While he is not an all-star like the Platinum fighters, he has won the respect of the likes of Leslie, Alice and even the often cold Georgia Blackburn.

Salem
A mysterious bodyguard of Grazia De La Corte. Unbeknownst to Grazia, her mother, Berenice De La Corte, hired Salem to watch over Grazia to ensure that her enemies in taking over the Resort stay her primary goal and secretly helps eliminate her opposition should she find herself in trouble - even if that means getting his hands dirty on the young mafia princess herself. He is often at odds with Kanae, Grazia’s henchwoman, but pays her other ward, Yuuki, for information on Grazia’s current goals.

As a man in his 50’s, Salem is not as spry as the competition, using Judo to supplement his frailing body and then decisively stamping out his opponents in a cold, fell swoop.

Abena
A young mechanic who fights with the fighting style - Danbe. Abena is a part of the biker gang banded together by Ahti Bashara, and the two became fast friends. Abena uses her time to fix up the gang’s motorcycles and when she needs money or entertainment, she fights at the Scarlet Resort.

Abena and Akamu are good friends after they had a few fights against the other in the Scarlet Sundays, and the two are now pseudo-rivals watching each other's backs, usually against Salem's machinations in the Resort, made more infuriating for the bodyguard as they are not aware of the bigger picture plot happening in the Scarlet Platinum ranks and the Scarlet Showdown.

Rory
A feisty karateka from the Bronx. The All-American Ass Kicker! Rory is a student from an American Karate school, and is overseas fighting at the Scarlet Resort after hearing about it from international superstar, Leather Heather. Rory is a gung-ho, ‘fight first, question later ‘kind of gal, often getting into fights and rivalries at the Scarlet Resort because she sticks her nose into everyone’s business.

Her aim is to win at least one belt in the Scarlet Resort, to be a champion of any kind. She just has to earn it her way, first. Even if she has to crawl her way up from the very bottom.

She has made fast friends and rivals with Georgia Blackburn, a fellow Karate practitioner - and while the angry upstart far exceeds Rory’s skills, the two spar often to nurture their skills, being a fire and ice mirror of each other’s skillsets that entertains the crowds.

Robin
Robin for lack of a better word, is a talentless fighter. He trains his body well, his skills are at least being worked on, but the Resort knows that he’s their weak link despite his best efforts. But despite that upsetting flaw, he is still a favourite of the crowds and he has accepted that his worth in life is to put others on a pedestal.

But that doesnt mean he isn’t trying.

Lately he has teamed up with Retina, the Resort’s IT manager, and she has built him a few gadgets to even the score, the greatest of which being ‘Equalis3r’. A neural band hidden in his gloves laced with a learning AI. It helps him match his opponent’s physical strength, making him stronger…or weaker. The learning AI does not help Robin as much as it helps Retina as she prepares for her next project…

Kimberly - “Supernova”
A Californian Pro Wrestler who calls herself Supernova in the ring. Kimberly caught a ride with Leather Heather to get her name out to the world. Unlike Heather, Kimberly can actually fight, likes to fight, wants to fight, but knows that her style of wrestling is best suited for crowdwork than fighting the Nofre Ra’s of the world. Even though her calling is the entertainment side is the squared circle, Kimberly gives it her 110% every time. And upon hearing the Scarlet Resort is opening a tag team, triple tag and elimination styles of matches and leagues, she knew she was in THE place to be RIGHT NOW!

Twitch
(This one is cheating because he is an existing character)

Don't let the stitched arms and crazed smile fool you, that's all fake.

Literally it's all paint.

Twitch's real name is Michael Foster. A very quiet person on the inside, the young man barely speaks a word to anyone. He's not shy, that's far from the truth. He just lets his actions speak for him. His gloves are worn to shreds from the years of practice at the resort, but you'd be forgiven for thinking he's a decent boxer. His real skill lies in submission holds, aiming to wear you down with lengthy combos before turning on a dime and taking you down for a chokehold. Outside of the ring, Michael's other love is drumming, and often plays gigs at the resort to provide entertainment. He is simply a quiet man with loud hobbies and louder friends.

Said friends being Alex and his merry band of B-grade fighters that just hang out and eat all the resort food on their lunchbreaks.

Matador

“To my fans in the front! I love you! To my fans in the middle! You’re my amigos! To all the lovely people in the back who love me! Thank you! Those who don’t!? You’ll come around, I know you will!”

Matador is a luchador. While he is of Mexican origin, Matador has spent his life growing up in Australia, having only his big brother Hades (Yes - Hades the Olympian!) to teach him of their culture, including their sport of choice - Lucho Libre.

Following in his brother’s footsteps, Matador sought to become a fighter in the Scarlet Resort - and he loves it! Following the custom, he has never removed his mask, and both he and his brother have never had them taken off - forcibly or otherwise. He is a happy-go-lucky face in start contrast to his brother’s more stoic personality and he revels in the absurdity of the people the Scarlet Resort brings in and spits in the face of their turmoils as he gives them only one option should they face him in the ring. They will lose with a smile on their face!

He has found a kindred spirit in Hoshiko Saitou, and doubly so has found himself to enjoy the company of Twitch and his friends, Alexander and Diego, who funnily enough are all frenemies with the breakdancing Popstar. He holds no desire to defeat her nor does he feel like he should. He only wants to meet her expectations and entertain the crowd alongside her, knowing that she will fight tooth and nail against him in a way that he can't get from most of the Scarlet Silvers - having grown used to how tough his brother is when they sparred as kids.

Magenta

A superfan of Aliyah Laroux (See her profile for details), Magenta wants to be exactly like her idol - strong, beautiful, upper class and above all - a champion.
A classic wrestler, Magenta is a woman who throws her weight around and out of all the Scarlet Silvers is the one you see piledriving and suplexing like she was god damn Ares.

Just like Aliyah would.

But unlike Aliyah, Magenta has not yet been tainted by fame and is still a noble and determined face, even if at times she can be particularly snooty to people - as Iris Magnolia found out the hard way, though they did patch that up rather quickly after the fact. Magenta respects Iris a lot, urging the young Brit to return back to her wrestling days.

Magenta has declared Rory to be her eternal rival for the championship and the two have a childish rivalry over who will get to wear the next belt that the Silvers hope to obtain. The two girls have friction, but are also each other’s first points of call to ask for help should they need it, not that they would ever admit that.
