i can see ive been running into trouble doing mine 
was wondering should i select the face put that in a new layer then liquify
 and make copies of nose an mouth so i can reshape them in liquify

Hmm, I'm not sure. What I did was select the nose, and place it where i thought it belonged. Then u created a new layer underneath and selected her skin color, and painted on top her nose and mouth to connect the horses snout to her face. Then i set the opacity of the horse snout very low, and copied the shading on the skin layer using burn and Dodge.

I finally had the courage to do a mermaid morph I tell yeah making a tail from scratch was no simple task
