Edit: Changed the facial proportions a little because I just wasn't happy with something (which turned out to be most of it xD Aka shortened the nose, gap between mouth and nose and altered the forehead a little).A lot can happen in five years...
I can -never- draw Isaac how I want, but I've noticed that when I do attempt him, he always looks like a teenager. But he's supposed to be twenty-six >.> He acts like a kid from time to time, but he still should look in his twenties. So as a practice of both Ike and skin tone colouring, I went for twenty and then twenty-five, since I've never really thought much about how he looked pre-'accident'. Kinda generic, apparently xD
I reaaally despise long hair. I cannot for the life of me work out what it does. Despite having similar length hair myself >.> If it wasn't because he wanted to cover up half his face/neck and also the area of his head that doesn't actually have any hair, he'd totally be getting it all cut off as soon as possible D:<
And yet I'm still not happy with how he looks. Grayson, yup, happy, though his skin tone varies a little. Isaac? Still can't settle on his appearance after a year and a half (derp xD - [link] )
Well, since I plan to draw him more often than last year, maybe I'll get somewhere >.>

Thsnks C: It's taken me a few years to get to this point xD I started out looking at other artists for inspiration and to get an idea of who to simplify faces to a point where I could get a handle on them. Then I started using real life reference pictures for more detail. And from there I just kinda experimented. I make mistakes all over the place even when I do look up references, but I don't let myself give up. Even if I think it looks hideous and wrong half way through, I make myself finish, and even if I don't like the end result, then I just try a different tactic :3 Sometimes I just look at myself in a mirror to get rough proportions or angles too, even if I only ever draw guys xD

Heh (I'm a young artist) but I drew a realistic close up on a face, so it has a nose and a mouth, I'm still teaching my self on lips and hands..
I'm trying to see if I should post it for u to see XD
It's the first realistic looking eye I drew at lunch and the very first nose I drew too XP

Go ahead and post it, I'll take a look if you want :3 I'm by no means an expert, far from it in fact, though xD I've only just begun to get the hang of lips, but hands... Nah, they still elude me and will continue to until I stop trying to avoid drawing them xD
I think the key to learning is to just keep drawing, no matter how you draw, be it just doodling or sitting down and taking time, because eventually you will begin to pick things up. Almost four years ago I drew nothing but horses, because people were impossible, and I hated even thinking about drawing them. Now after my writing inspired me to have a go at drawing my characters, all I draw is people/my characters and nothing else(and still horses, just on scraps of paper that I leave around the house for my parents to pick up xD)
