Oh man, I draw horses on scraps of paper all the time, but they're stick ponies. Taking it further reminded me how much of a pain in the butt that are to really draw. Leeeegs >.>

I've been drawing horses far longer than people, but since I never draw them intensely I get suuuper out of practise xD I ref'd for the pose, but everything else is me attempting to remember how horses work >.>

And then adding armour/barding? Yeaaah, no.

Anyway, I wanted to create a ref of sorts for Eldris's horse. He doesn't actually have one in his campaign, but I'm getting far too into writing crap with him and Nazir/Dekker/Zeke, and he's just got himself a new horse - he's a horseman without a mount otherwise D: So this is Longstride, aka Strider - his name makes me cringe but it's one of those things that gets stuck in your head and I wouldn't be able to change now haha xD He's based off a Lusitano/Andalusian, all those nice Spanish breeds, though for the sake of fantasy and a little tweaking, he's a "Medui x Ind" - a mix of elven horses, a highly-strung prance-y thing and a good down to earth worker to make a nice 'normal' blend of horse ;D And he's leggy. Like. Super leggy xD Hence the name.

His barding is designed to match Eldris's armour, because matching is fun 8D

And for the luz, my first dA horse upload from 2007 xDDD

Longstride belongs to Eldris Lathael, who in turn belongs to me ;D
