So I read that the original April from the MIrage comics is dark skinned, I never realized that while reading those comics! But I really liked the thought! So here is a dark skinned April and a young Donnie, both probably about the same age. Wanna make more of them~ <3________________

Great atmosphere in the piece, can just feel the surprise and tension, but there's no real fear which is so sweet!

Yeah going along with what MsO said. I don't think Kevin and Peter ever fully agreed on what April looked like, so she was represented lots of different ways in Mirage XD But I love the pic and I'm excited for 2018 April! Even if I'm a little skeptical about some of the other changes.

I agree! Hopefully April is just one step towards more diversity in TMNT! The changes I'm not so sure about have nothing to do with April and everything to do with Leo lol I'm going to give the show a chance of course, just a little nervous about what they did to my favorite turtle.

I wouldn't say original April was particularly "dark skinned" (all tho that's practically forbidden to say at the moment, but I've never been known for being very PC
