Description
My Beloved,as I write these few lines which grace this paper, my sworn enemy awaits. On the narrow pathway, they lead to a watery gate.
I have no doubt that my career has hit the wall.
There shall be no truce or resolution only the Reichenbach fall.
I fear it is at a cost, a price where no one can stand.
In truth, this is not what I had planned.
This shall give pain to my friends, and especially, my dear John to you.
For only I must come to the dance and see this through.
The Danse Macabre, two sides of the coin, hand in hand.
Now I shall lay in the soil of England, my native land.
I allow you to depart, to fly, my life and love, so you can be free.
To live the life in Sussex Downs with the bees.
My only property belongs to you John, you have my heart.
Believe me, I never wanted to depart.
No, sincerely yours or sentiments cold.
For I love you John, may I be so bold.
For even in death, love is stronger than steel and gold.

This is...beautiful!
Reichenbach Fall was really heart breaking... the scene with John at Sherlock's grave was just way to hard for me to watch, and this brings all the feelings back(in a good way)...it's just awesome!
I like the way you wrote it! "For even in death, love is stronger than steel and gold." Great work!

Thank-You so much
I know what you mean, I recently watched "Reichenbach", John at Sherlock's grave makes me tear up.
Even Granada Watson as he reads Holmes' letter does the same. Heartbreaking the love between these two dear men.
That is the strongest love....one we all wish for.....even Sherlock does when he lies down to sleep at night (Yes you do Sherlock! LOL).

Thank YOU for the awesome poetry!
I know, even Sherlock wishes for that strong bond, be it friendship or love. He is just having a hard time admitting it...even tough he tried, as he told John he doesn't have 'friends', he just has one...it didn't work out that well as he wished, but in the end he did choose his friends life over his one life and reputation.
So he faked his death (only Moffat knows how ) and I can't wait to see how it all continues!

I'm still heartbroken myself after seeing the agony of Sherlock and John.
Thank-you...

Reichenbach is heart wrenching for both S/J.
I can just imagine what Gatiss is going to do.
It will be epic.
Thank-you so much
