The avatar is a vintage stuffed toy version of a dog named Don from the 1930 cartoon series Waffles and Don. The cartoons are on a new DVD set of 1930's cartoons from the Van Beuren studio called "Tom and Jerry" but it's NOT the cat and mouse. Check it out at the upper left corner of my cartoonsnap blog ^_^
