How is it hypocrisy? I'm more outraged at something happening nowadays and to my country. Not to mention as a gay person I find islam to be incredibly repulsive (Inb4 yes, I would certainly think the same of Christianity if modern local Christians gave me reasons to do so as well)
By the way, the islamization of africa was crazy bad. Muslims slaughtered their way in places that were formerly Christian (Egypt and the maghreb). Like they did in India and Spain, like they did in Greece... like they did every time they weren't put in their place.
