Agreeed. I can definitely see the beginnings of a great fur technique here. You did a really good job with the different directions of the fur, I think a little smudging and blurring would help make it look a little less chunky and more fine.

Not that I'm an expert, as you well know. I've just been reading a shit ton of digital painting tutorials lately. I am SO getting a tablet as soon as I have some munny (same one you have, Melissa said it was good, and the price is unbeatable) and I'm gearing up.

Thanks! I was actually thinking the same thing with the smudge suggestion, but it kinda tends to kill thinks in PS Elements, so I tried to steer clear of it for now :3 Thanks for the feedback, though <3 I can't wait to see your art when you get that tablet! >w<

OH, and try and get the older style of Bamboo Fun, it comes with a mouse for the tablet pad so you never have to choose tablet over mouse or vice-versa :3 (Bamboo Fun Medium is CTE650s, not CTE450, make sure not to forget, or you'll end up with a teeny tiny tablet XD)

Well, this [link] is the one I am looking at, Idk if that's the exact one you have, but in the picture down a ways on the page it looks pretty good sized compared to the hand.

What was the learning curve like, compared to drawing on paper?

Here, I had these saved from when I was deciding between the new model or the one like Brenna's. They're what I thought at the time to be the most helpful of the reviews.

P.S. - Just noticed the first one was reviewed by a man named John Watson XD

Idk! So many choices now, lol. Can I not have my mouse and the tablet plugged in at the same time??

Depends on the number of ports you have, or if your mouse has a PS2 port instead of a USB port...?

I have 2 USBs in the front and more in the back. My mouse has is a USB.

*examines page* well this is the newest version of the Bamboo Fun. I don't like that it has no mouse, but it does have Multi-Touch which, depending on the user, can be a good or bad thing; I've heard very mixed reviews. From what I have heard, the higher amount of pressure sensitivity levels (1024 compared to the old 512) is a good thing with the Pen, but makes the Multi-Touch too sensitive, and users I've talked to tend to have an issue with their pages and zoom changing because their hand brushes the Drawing Area while their working (accidentally activating the Multi-Touch capabilities.) Plus I'm sure I'm biased to the older one, anyway XD Oh, and I've also heard not to use the red cloth pen holder much, as it will rip and need frequent replacing. You'd be better off buying a spare pen stand from the older set if you go with the new version :3
