Dont worry, I'll get to why he hasn't said anything sometime in the future. :3 Plus Rion was super young when Niar gave him the necklace so that's a bit of the reason too.

Oh gods, the feels. I'm crying... you punched my feels, Shes-t. ;A; I'm just going to go and curl up into a ball and cry. *hides in her corner of feels* I felt so bad when Rion looked ready to cry... and how all those people are cruel to him.
Seriously, I love Rion and Niar's relationship. It's like a big brother and his annoying little brother. I can't stop the feels... and don't you dare stop them either!! And his poor new guard. Guy just wants to help.
