Description
Shrimp at the Chez Paul. Full View, PLZ. This time Jake has a purdy mouth. :DLOL! I did it again! I butchered Dan's face! But seriously, this time I thought it was relevant. For serious.
So okay. I moved Jake closer to Elwood, because I didn't want to draw everything on that table, and taking that out left a really big empty space. I changed their hats a little to give them more shape. Other than that, It's mostly the same as the original. I might color this. Not sure yet. Last time I colored, my color picking failed.
I had a hard time drawing the pads on Elwood's shoulder, so it probably looks awfully wrong.
Lines behind Jake's head: He's moving a bit for aim.
Lines behind Elwood's hand: Cautiously aiming to throw.
Added in the little words. Don't know if they're there to stay.

-shrug- I hate to say it, but no one watches films like I do. I slowed it down to 1/8th speed and watched the whole film that way at least twice. Looking for the little things.

Wow. A little defensive, are we?
I pretty much wanted to see if you were pulling a fast one on me or not. There are only two ways I can think of to play a film at 1/8th speed-- it's a fairly specific speed, actually. Rather particular. I wouldn't say most TVs do it. I had to use a special program to do it.

Found that about the third time I saw the film. I didn't notice it at first. It might seem obvious, but his hand was only up for one, maybe two frames.

Once I've seen the movie 3 or 4 times I know all the cues. Of course I enjoy watching them, but I don't have to stare a hole through them. Every time I watch it now is simply for entertainment value, and I give everything and everyone my eyes who ever comes on set.

Invader-Asil In reply to Shikalee [2007-11-15 06:01:41 +0000 UTC]
Woah, harsh. What are you going on about Shikalee? It's like you're trying to prove to anyone who is listening that you and you alone are the biggest Blues Brothers fan. Seriously.. being the "biggest fan" has nothing to do with how much of the script you know, how much you know about the actors, how many times you've seen the movie, what mistakes you notice ectect. Watching it in slower speed doesn't make you the greatest Blues Brothers fan. And this shit about the whole "fangirl" senario is slightly pathetic. Who are you to pick out who is a fangirl and who isn't? Doesn't that just make you a bit of one yourself?
So.. seriously.. stop trying to act like you know more than MMR does about the films.. It's basicly annoying.. and getting a bit tiring.

Shikalee In reply to Invader-Asil [2007-11-15 06:12:14 +0000 UTC]
It sounds like you're just here to pick a bone with me. If you didn't feel any sort of threatened by the idea, you wouldn't act that way.
You're making unfounded assumptions lacking evidence. I never claimed, nor implied that I was the "biggest" fan. I know that certainly isn't true, and before anyone even asks, the reasons are simple. I don't own a Blues Mobile. I didn't watch the HD premiere. I don't stalk Dan Aykroyd-- or even write him. I do OTHER things with my life; Deviant Art isn't the only website I'm on and I have other hobbies outside of the computer. I left Blues Brothers Central very quietly.
I never claimed I was the "biggest" fan, so your statement in that having nothing to do with comprehension of the script, knowledge of the actors, mistakes/bloopers within the film, and how many times I've seen the film, you would only agree that by my actions I am not even implying such, since, as we've just established, such actions are not "makes" the "biggest fan." So you've drawn your assuptions from nothing.
I never said watching it in slower speed made me better than anyone else. You have again assumed, with no proof, which was a poor move, because it, perhaps by the poor luck of the draw, turned out completely incorrect. I don't only do that with one film, and if you had been paying attention, and watching so closely as you claim-- and closely enough to build accusations upon-- then you would have known that.
I never said I was the deciding factor in who/what decided/chose/picked/found a fangirl of any sort. I don't deny being a pretty obsessed fan myself-- never once have I. So by accusing me of that, you're stating blatant and obvious fact; a blatant and obvious fact I admit to shamelessly.
If you think it's annoying and tiring, no one is making you read it.

Haha, woah, angry. Now you seem threatened. I'm not 'icking a bone' with you.. and I obviously wasn't threatened in anyway at all, I was just sticking up for MMR because of the way you were treating her - which was as if you were better than her.. and that just irritated me a bit.
Okay, most of what you typed is a little boring.. though I read it.. and I've said what I wanted to say so I'm not going to bother replying to anything else, so hoorah.

Shikalee In reply to Invader-Asil [2007-11-15 06:28:03 +0000 UTC]
Not angry. I think you started something that wasn't necessary. You just wanted to insult me and yell at me, for reasons I don't understand. You interpreted it as though I thought I was better than her, but I didn't. So you were wrong. A short miss. Bad luck of the draw. An accident, at best.
If you think it's boring, you don't gotta come back for more.
Looks like you're the one looking down your nose at people. Not me.

They have books for that! People found those ages ago!
Blues Brothers.
All the stunt cars are clearly empty.
After the performance at the palace, Jake and Elwood switch from sweaty to dry to sweaty at least 3 different times in one scene.
You can tell the bricks are fake after Elwood's apartment is destroyed by Camille Zdetelik because as an officer emerges from the rubble, a brick rests on the brim of his hat before it slides off (a real brick wouldn't do that).
During the drawbridge jump, the bridge actually STOPS and then one moment later appears MORE closed that it was just moments before (as it was opening). This is because they must've done around 10-20 jumps... I don't remember, but they killed a lot of cars doing that jump, and took the best shots for the film.
Not to mention when Elwood guns the gas, the wheels of the car LOCK UP... as if he hit the break... they're supposed to spin. Cars don't lock up when you gun the engine.
Shit. The BEST one has got to be that when Camille tries to kill them, 5 rockets come out of her 4 slotted rocket launcher. I noticed that right away.
Ah, good times.
