Description
Been really into a fan comic known as Destiny Intertwined by DragonOfIceAndFire . So much so I decided to make my own oc based on the lore given on the new wiki cite for the fan series. I tried following the guides as best as I could when it came to making this character.

Though keep in mind, whatever is in this reference sheet is nothing more than a fan creation. Anything written here should not be considered canon of the Destiny intertwined series, especially since some aspects of this character could differ than what is intended in lore. This also mean any information here is subject to change if I ever decide to adjust it.

Personality-

Sylusha is a very reserved yet studious character. She’s known to be quiet and for the most part unnoticeable in presence. She’s also a sensitive character when it comes to being social as she’s easy to become anxietized when confronted with teasing or any sort of criticism against her character and elemental abilities. This usually results in her running or hiding away since she can’t stand to be involved in conflicts of any sort.

When it comes to her studies however, she is less discouraged. In fact, she thrives in it. Her mood drastically changes and she is often seen smiling when reading and studying alone. She yearns for knowledge and is very curious about the world around her. She is also, surprisingly, open to constructive criticism of her magical capabilities as she strives to improve in them as much as she can.

History-

She was born to a relatively new clan, only recognized as such only a few decades ago. As such, her family has some form of wealth and can afford things most citizens of Warfang normally couldn’t. Her clan, Tidal Rising, is a clan dedicated to bringing forth dragons born with the Element of water and training them to become Soldiers, Guards, or Politicians. Their belief is that water is capable of adapting to any environment and as such can produce powerful Elementals. So, most of the clan consists of fire and ice dragons and the few born water dragons that were birthed from them. For the most part, blue eggs are chosen in hopes of it hatching into a water dragon. However, some red and light blue eggs are chosen as well if one of the parents were born from the same clutch as a water dragon. Due to Sylusha’s mother coming from a clutch containing a water dragon, her egg was chosen to be kept for the Clan in hopes her future offspring would give a water dragon.

Sylusha was of a clutch of two and was first to hatch. Her brother on the other hand, whose egg was a deep blue, took a full year before hatching days before Sylusha’s birthday. From the get go, Sylusha’s parents paid most of their attention to her brother, Aquacious, leaving Sylusha to the wayside for most family activities. As such she was often left in the care of her grandmother, Heafra. Her grandmother was the one who encouraged Sylusha’s studies, especially when first showing interest in her library.

Sylusha for the most part didn’t mind being left behind. She accepted it as normal, though there was a desire for some attention by her parents. Any and all attempts were at first given hope before set aside for other activities involving her brother. She also had to share any gifts her parents rarely gave her with her brother.

Upon joining Warfang Temple for schooling and discovering her element is when things started to change. Firstly, Sylusha was held back from her first year in favor of making sure her and her brother joined school at the same time. This was a result of Aquacious throwing a fit because he despised the idea of Sylusha getting ahead of him in schooling.

When Sylusha first discovered her Element, all seemed normal. Then when it came to fully manifesting it, she came up short. Her ice was weak and showed no signs of getting stronger no matter how much she tried. This resulted in her parents demeanor towards her changing from indifferent to disdain. Her unstable ice was seen as a mockery of the clan in their eyes. She was an ice dragon, but her ice always melted far too quickly. Her brother’s antagonism towards her also increased from just egotistical boasting, to outright bullying.

From then on, school went from being an escape from the dissonance of home, to a nightmare. Her brother easily turned the others of her flight on her, effectively outcasting her. It also didn’t help that she was labeled the teacher’s pet as well. As such, her only times of relief were the days she spent with her grandmother or the library studying at school. Outside of class, she struggled to make friends and only has managed a few at the least. At year 10, this form of treatment remained.

Abilities-
Elemental- Sylusha’s mastery cannot be found on the scale. Upon discovery, she at first could manage small clouds of frost like any other ice dragon her age. However, when it came to forming solid ice in her breath later on, she’d always come up short. Instead of solid ice, she would breathe globs of snow that swiftly destabilized and melted. This is what brought on the disdain of her family, claiming her element was a mockery of their clan. Her brother also dubbed her “Slush” or “Slushy” as an insult thanks to this development. This nickname was also used by her flightmates.

Magic-

While Sylusha lacks in both elemental power and physical strength, she excels in magic. During the year she was held back from starting school, her grandmother allowed her to read the more advanced books in her small Library. As such, this is where Sylusha’s thirst for knowledge and magic truly started blooming. Once finally a student at Warfang Temple, Sylusha insisted on studying Magic beyond her grade’s current curriculum taught by reading endlessly in the Library at the Temple. As such, she’s nearing Intermediate by grade 10, but still only considered a starter.

Physical-
Due to never being given the room to grow physically, Sylusha isn’t very physically strong. Her parents favoritism resulted in most of her meals being shrunk in favor of giving more to her stronger younger brother. Back then, she was rather skinny for her age. By the time school came around, she was able to eat more thanks to the lunches the school provided, thus filled out more. Of course, by this point, her growth was already stunted, leaving her quite short compared to other female ice dragons her age.

Isluna- Sylusha is not seen in a good light by her mother. Of both her parents, Isluna has the most disdain for her daughter. As an ice dragon herself and born into the clan, unlike her united, she is obsessed with pleasing the elders of the Clan. Since she herself was born alongside a water dragon, she was expected to birth strong water hatchlings since she potentially carried the genes. When first laying her eggs and seeing a water dragon among the clutch she had high hopes. Upon Sylusha hatching she did treat her as any mother would, but showed concerns for her unhatched sibling. Once Aquacious hatched, Sylush was an afterthought. When Slyusha showed abnormalities in her element, she grew hateful and majorly disappointed. Sylusha was subjected to constant berating and comparisons to her brother by her mother from then on.

Pyrutho- As a fire dragon from outside the family, he was just as eager to please the clan. His Unity was obviously arranged as per tradition in the clan. Although he did wish to please the clan and earn the title to truly be among them, he wasn’t as insistent as united. Though he was very pleased when one of his eggs resulted in a water dragon, earning him praise and acceptance from the Clan. So when it came to Sylusha’s abnormalities, he was disappointed. Althought he showed an active disdain towards his daughter, it was mostly in the presence of others in the Clan. When alone with her, he preferred to ignore her instead.

Heafra- Sylusha was often left in her grandmother’s care. As such, she was more of a motherly figure than her actual mother. Heafra was a warm fire dragon that didn’t share her Clans beliefs as highly. Despite all the Clans pressures, Heafra was more lax about it and as such felt sympathy for her granddaughter. She did what she could to make sure Sylusha could thrive in her own way, allowing her to have access to the small Library she owned. When the young dragonette showed an eagerness towards magic, Heafra provided private lessons using the books she had.

Aquacious- As a water dragon, he was favored greatly by his parents over his sister. As such he’d often boast about it to Sylusha. Any accomplishment applauded by their parents, he rubbed it in her face. He was also not fond of sharing anything with her and despised the idea of her having something instead of him. This behavior is what resulted in their parents holding Sylusha back from her first year of school in order to please him. When Sylusha failed to ever form solid ice, he began to outright bully her and encouraged his flightmates to do the same. He started calling her “Slush” or “Slushy” from then on, refusing to call her by name.

Rivoru- As a water dragon, like Aquacious, he was pampered by the clan. Only, he didn’t end up like him. As such any interactions with her Uncle have been neutral. Though he does pity the Sylusha to some degree. He agrees that her element is a disappointment, however he doesn’t agree with her neglect and has sometimes scolded his sister Isluna for the favoritism against Sylusha.

Erugard- Is Sylusha’s Flight Master and often encourages her in her studies. He’s very eager to see her push beyond her limits in magic and reassures her when it comes to the failings of her Element and physical strength. He often recommends her to others as a tutor in magic for other students from other flights. This has resulted in her Flight calling her a teacher's pet.

Emera- A younger earth dragon from another flight. They were first introduced by Erugard, who wanted Sylusha to tutor Emera since she often struggled with magic. Although hesitant at first, Sylusha accepted. Soon enough, the two slowly grew to be friends and Emera often enjoyed their tutor sessions.
