Gift/Curse: Elaine's familiar, who she decided to name Lou, gives her the ability to become ridiculously light weight- wise. It allows her to move faster to avoid attack, get out of the way, etc., The downside to this is that her bones become extremely fragile, almost like glass, due to the fact that her power reduced the density of her bones. If she trips when using her gift, or does anything that might hurt her, she could be seriously injured.

Personality: Elaine is often cheery and happy, glad to meet new people and have a chat. She is, however, a coward. If there's any danger nearby, she is likely to flee like a bird. This means she's extremely good at hiding and running away quickly. Elaine's a bit apprehensive when it comes to men, especially when they are strangers, though she will eventually warm up to a guy if she knows them long enough. Even if she's good at running away, she's not very bright. It'll take her awhile to figure things out, and if she doesn't, she'll usually abandon it and find some other way.

History: Since she was young, Elaine was always taught to be aware of everyone around her. Her father was a wealthy banker, so of course he and his family were always targeted by competition or people simply seeking wealth. At first Elaine lived happily in luxury, but when she was of an appropriate age, she was forced to marry. (Note that getting married at like 16 was normal at the time) Of course she rejected everyone at first, but then her parents arranged a marriage for her without her knowing, and when her wedding day came around, they shoved her into a white dress and was about to force her to the altar.

It was then that she began running. When no one was looking, she slipped away, still dressed completely in her wedding dress and everything. She was literally a "run-away bride".

She found managed to find her way into a nearby forest and there she hid. Elaine began travelling as far away from her original town as possible. During her travels, she developed a love for birds, especially blue jays. She loved wearing blue feathers in her hair and singing along with them.

Finally, she arrived at a port town that she was sure was far away from her parents. Elaine spent some time exploring and what not, but she soon found herself at the wrong place at the wrong time. She was being cornered by several men, and her "capture" was almost inevitable until her familiar appeared, Lou.

She was able to run away quickly, but she sprained her ankle on accident while running, since she injures easily. Hidden again from her pursuers, she took refuge in an academy that just so happened to be taking students.
Thinking that it was a good place to hide, she decided to stay.
