Delicia struggled helplessly in her restraints but there was no chance of escape. The blonde scientist was looking at a full body scan of her new acquisition. She hummed a little tune as she checked to make sure Delicia was a nice healthy specimen, one fingertip touched the exposed part of her lovely tummy. Delicia pulled her tummy in with a gasp."My dear girl, you are gorgeous -- almost perfect," the scientist said happily. "I'm going to have so much fun with you..."
I'm kinda blown away by this catsuit. I love catsuits in general but this one is just super hot! I will be doing more of this scene soon.

This looks amazing, that's gotta be Iray, am I right?
It might be a strange thing to focus on but I like the extra device out of focus in the background, implying additional possible perils for our heroine. I love little details like that, they make the artwork more of a story.

Yay thank you! Yes Iray, I never render in 3delight anymore hehe. I generally like to get the viewer's attention on the subject. If I can't do it with posing, colours, the camera or darker backgrounds then depth of field works a treat! Though in this case depth of field just seemed to work with the theme

Thank you! I made 2 cubes, made them about the size of a door and made them white mesh lights. I put one behind the scientist to the right of the picture and the other to the left of the camera. I decided Delicia looked a bit dark, so I added a spotlight above her head but it wasn't very bright. I actually had some grainy on the scientists face so had to turn the render settings up really high. I still need to figure out why renders keep stopping a lot sooner than I expect though. This one was saying 0% right up until it stopped after 2 hours, weird!

Sweet! Yea great job with the lights. I had the same problem with renders finishing early. I just turned render quality enable off in the progressive rendering tab and turned the rendering time up. That way it renders to the iterations you have set. Failing that, just turn the iterations up really high as well (as well as the time), then it will basically render continuously until you're happy with it, at which point you can cancel the render. That's what I have to do anyway cuz of my computer haha.

How do you turn off render quality? I set it to 1000 for this picture! I usually whack iterations and time all the way if I get any grainy issues. I've found if you have any glass in the scene and light shines through and onto something else there is always lots of gain there.

If you go to the progressive rendering section in rendering settings. Near the bottom you'll see a button that says render quality enable on. Just turn that to off. That way it will render to the time or iterations you have set. It'll keep rendering until the grain disappears. I found that with render quality enable on it would stop rendering when daz studio thought it was finished. But it never looked finished haha. Hope that helps

No probs. Hopefully it'll work for you. I mentioned it cuz I was having the same issue with grain and then found some info that suggested turning render quality enable off etc. Plus it's the least I could do after your advice on outdoor lighting
