Done in tonights live stream. Was a better session in terms of pace and getting something from start to finish without LS hickups.New parts for my rifle, so I had to draw it again

i was thinking a bying a skull mask that looked exactley llike this. it is called a balaclava i think and its amore complicated one with layers that could be taken off. also my Dad is thinking of becoming a pmc because he is ex military and recession is hard aswell as a demand for soldiers such and such...

So he doesn't want to sign a 4 years again, but would probably still deploy abroad as a PMC?
I think the idea of being pmc sounds cool, but at the same time is probably a harsh and very dangerous job. I would more likely consider local private armed guard stuff. (Must try not to become a mall ninja)

Honestly, in most places (not Afghanistan, which is hopping, but Iraq, Kosovo, Qatar, and the usual spots to deploy to) the worst threat is boredom. Even doing a high-risk PSD the chances of running into trouble these days are less than getting mugged in a major city. A few years ago, it was hell on a biscuit, but these days... bleh. Pay has gone down accordingly, so be forewarned it doesn't pay what it used to. Most contracts I get these days are less than $100k, some as low as $55k, so it's not paying what it used to by far. As for fun, meh, its a job. There's not glory or glamour to it, it's just work, 6 days a week, 12 hours a day. Granted, I look at it in retrospect, as I have a wife now and a wee one on the way, so the pay is no longer worth being away from them. Family is more important, so those days are behind me now.

Yeah, but we pay an ASS-TONNE for them, and we can't bring them back when we de-mobilize. Try shelling out $4,500 for an M6A2 or POF rifle, EOTech and magnifier, Surefire illuminator, plate carrier and ESAPIs, mags, and various and sundry other gear, only to have the electronics (EOTech, et al.) fried, broken, or on their last legs by the end of a year deployment, the armor and MOLLE gear beat to hell, and being unable to bring the rifle back, having to either sell it in-country to another operator (usually for a quarter of the original cost) or leave it in the company armory and pray it's still there on your next deployment (never is). Gets expensive over time

It's supposed to be my (real) AR15, but I didn't quite get it right.
The .50 (but in smaller caliber) can be found updated in my 'Rangers' piece.
