The One Ring (from Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings) falling into the lava... this is its moment of destruction.

Rendered in Apophysis; the Etched Forms script by Cabin Tom was used (from his Total Script Package ) but did not give the final result. The fractal was changed further in Photoshop Elements to get this fairly low-key image.
