I just spent the last 5 minutes straight simply staring at that picture, and have yet to come to a conclusion as to how you have managed to create such a perfect image.
Putting the subject matter aside for a moment, the level of technical skill involved in this picture is phenominal.
As for the subject matter itself, I think you have made a brilliant choice. The picture seems to tell a story, and although I am not sure as to what it may be, I am greatly intrigued.

Breathtaking, as are all your pieces. This drawing made me kind of melancholic... Maybe it's the worn out shoes, or the way the hands hold them like they are something to be cherished... There is such emotion in there, you can't help but feel it. Once again the textures and light/dark contrast made my jaw drop. Brilliant, moving, beautiful.

out of all your work (amazing as they all are) im surprised this one was never noticed for a daily deviation. the character in the hands and the weathered look of the shoes combined with the dark background create an overwhelming sense of emotion.
anyways, the details are exquisite as always. an amazing piece.

I was looking through your gallery and experiencing jaw-drop after metaphorical jaw-drop (as most people do), but this drawing really made me pause and stare, and I absolutely must leave a comment on this.
Your mastery of texture is phenomenal, and that's what really drew me into this piece. Every worn scar etched into those disembodied hands tells a story; we, as viewers, mightn't know precisely what it is, but I certainly feel the emotional impact of the story and that's what matters. Nevermind the shoes themselves, so battered and worn from use - or age? - with every little detail, every blotch or subtle crease, so skillfully rendered. If I look closely enough, of course, I can see the medium come through, but you create an amazing illusion of reality.
I will spare you any further babbling on my part; I shall simply conclude that this is a brilliant work and I one day aspire to be as skillful as you.
