Description
Update 24-12-20091. Due to the many irrelevant comments I'm disabling the comment feature for this work. Sorry folks.
2. Yes, this is the drawing that Shia LaBeouf has tattooed on his ribcage.
This drawing is about being a prisoner of your own actions and choices. It shows how I felt when I was going through a tough period in my life.
- graphite on Lana drawing paper
- photo reference (my own hand)
- about 12 hours
- 12" x 9"
Hope you like it.

Wow this is so cool, I saw this in art class way before I joined DA. My teacher thought it was a good example of what she wanted us to do. I never knew it was on DA

Definitely agree with Ruby21,
almost NONE of my art is done in colour, i prefer to leave it "as-is", and find that when i do colour it in, it ruins some of them.
Great Pic Anyway!!
Keep it up!

if you're right-handed, which you must be because the reference for the drawing is your own hand and it has a pencil in it and it's your right hand, then how did you draw that if your right hand was your reference, and therefore, could not be drawing at the same time?

uhm...took a picture with his left hand of his right hand drawing, then drew that?

So Deviantart is saying and even showed a picture of Shia Laboeuf actually wearing this piece as a tattoo...is this true or was that photo manipulated? I didn't feel like reading through all the comments to see if someone else asked this same question so please excuse me for the possible repetition.

I've probably stared at this for about a half hour. It's sooooo good!
And it's just amazing that Shia tattooed it on his rib cage!
We you ever able to contact him? Did he have to pay royalties to you?

Personally, not that my comment merits much, but I feel that color can detract from a piece of art at times and when it is appropriate, it is best to steer away from it. The shading on this is beautiful; from the detail in the hand to the manacle, I love the work you've done here. Keep it up! God has given you quite a talent!

Isaw this thumbnail and my brain went straight to Escher, I won't lie. It is very Escher-esk. Then I clicked and read the description. This is very great, and I love it. You should do more art like this, if you haven't already. (I'll find out after I visit your gallery). Kudos to you!
