DescriptionAnyone who remembers the old reference will understand what an improvement this is! I'm very pleased to say that I only made minor design changes and this reference is primarily a display of my overall development as an artist. It is unfortunate that I could not include his human form; because I wanted to include details about all 3 pairs of wings, I was afraid that also including human information on the ref would make it overly large. I'm considering making a separate human ref.I would love to say more about this, but I am quite tired tonight so the words are not coming to me easily! As always, I recommend that you download it and I hope you enjoy.

Thank you for the compliments! I first pulled off this style on my Shinerai ref (Reference: Shinerai V6 CB ), and I've been trying to replicate that with my other characters. I generally will start with the actual side-view drawing of the character, and then develop the overall layout of the sheet as I figure out which things I want to show on the reference C: I sort of play it by ear haha!

An incredible character Shin, as epic as pretty ^^ I also love the soft transitions on the shading, it makes it look more natural than a sharp cell-shading. And I certainly love the colors and the 3 pair of wings O3O

It's always so nice to see Illumarae show up once in awhile. I still love them ever so much even though I haven't been doing as much dragon like work in a long time. But this guy oh man, what a beauty. <3 That is quite possibly one of the most genius ways to handle a multi-winged creature I've ever seen, it just makes SENSE. And wow such a huge detail improvement from the first time he was posted about. Always a pleasure to see you continue to play with your art styles and make these detailed reference sheets. <3

Thank you for the compliments, hon! I'm glad you remember these guys! I love them too and wish there were more people drawing them, but Kilara has been having some rough times lately so she has mostly been focusing on other things. She still works on XM but doesn't really post it.

A great design, and excellent job on working it out. My fav part is his head, it looks so awesome it blows my head off.
His face is just purrrrfect, looks soo regal and majestic, very suitable for him as a king xD He has an amazing charisma.
