This month's theme over at MGC is Prehistoric Gargoyles ! I decided to go pretty damn unoriginal and make a saber tooth gargoyle and a mammoth gargoyle. Or... try to.
I tried to make the mammoth have a trunk-looking beak rather than an actual trunk and it turned out weird. I was also kind of wanting him to be a bit bigger in size than he is here, more husky... but it didn't quite turn out the way I wanted. I may try to sketch him again sometime and try to find where I was wanting him to be.
The saber tooth, she turned out about how I was wanting her to.
She could use a few edits, but mostly I caught what I was wanting with her.Also, tusks? Are a pain.

I think I'm the first to have entered and it's already close to May! So hurry!

Digging the sepia. And the sabre lady did turn out really well, you've amalgamated the breeds nicely. I getwhat you mean about the trunk-beak, it looks rather like the other half of the trunk was forgotten after the tusk. Still, a clever concept to try. :3

I've been thinking... if these are indeed prehistoric gargoyles, then given what Greg Weisman has told about the history of Gargoyles, shouldn't they all be naked?
Well maybe if these two lived during the ice age, it might have been too cold even for Gargoyles who normally don't mind the cold
