I'm not too sure why I never uploaded this in the MONTHS and months I've had it. I mean it's easily been over a year since I did this piece. Maybe because I thought it sucked... maybe because it actually DOES suck... or maybe it was just a really personal piece. It was based off of a very emotionally stressful dream and when I woke up I HAD to get it down somewhere... drawing, writing, SOMETHING. I ended up drawing, and writing a bit about it but stopped that pretty quickly. SO, yeah. Yay.No, I will not explain the dream. Just that the orb was being pushed into my stomach so I wanted to draw that.

Hrm... reminds me of God's Demon by Wayne Barlow. All souls in hell were implanted with black orbs that are physical manifestations of their evil acts. They were referred to as 'The Burden', and allowed the demonic overseers to control the souls through extreme pain...

Glad to hear that writing about it took the stress off. You've been stressed enough lately.
Just a thought, but I've seen something similar to this. Michael Whelan did a series of paintings of hell, where the individual souls each had a black sphere that moved around on their bodies. It was, I believe, supposed to be part of their eternal punishment, or something like that.
Not sure if that means anything to you, or relates to your dream in any way. It was just the first thing that popped into my head when I saw this pic.

I don't really have a clue as to what this is, so a bit confused. It kind of looks like a female gal waking up from a dream with a whole in heart, or a female hallow waking up from a nightmare. Really good though not completely clear on what it is.
