Description
Everyone loves anime self portraits! So, here's one. Dunno why I felt the need to do it, but after I sketched it, it was just too darn cute to not finish

Other than myself, about three people have actually noticed that this is a self portrait. There are just so many small details you excellently made to make this a very good picture. Top to bottom, shall I? The messy hair you gave yourself is interesting. It's kinda like-how do I say this?-you embarrased yourself in some way or another. Your eyes are rather contracted and focused on the ground, like you don't want to or are afraid of looking someone in the eye. Then there's the slight blush which also contributes to feeling a bit embarrased (sp?). I think the color you gave your clothes was a given since grey is often tied into being shy. Then there's your body language. Your shoulders are tense, yet your kind of slouching. You also have your amrs and legs tucked in as close as possible; trying to cover yourself as much as you can. Then you have this dark area in the lower right hand corner which suggests that you are in fact in the corner of a room, trying to seclude yourself from an individual or a group of people. When I first saw this pic, I noticed a slight pinkish tinge in the upper left hand corner. I thought my comp was acting up again. But then I saw this shadow beneath you. And usually, and shadow isn't there for no reason. So that led me to believe this pink tinge is a metephoracle (sp?) light. As in your in a dark corner which also represents that there is a dark in you that makes you shy around others; which is represented in the frey clothes. And there's someone behind you with a happy light trying to fill you up with happiness and bring you out of your shell. The two corners contrast quite nicely. I hope my rant didn't bother you.
