I like this tutorial better than some of the other ones I've read. You make it a lot simpler than going through the whole "First, draw the 3D boxes for each finger and the palm, then erase all that and try circles and ovals, then blah blah blah". You just get right down to the point. Nice reference to I Can Haz Cheezburger, too, lol!

Thank you! I thought I'd explain it in the way I thought most effective, and I do get pretty tired of those "draw a cylinder" tuts. Not that you shouldn't draw them but you don't have to bore everyone to death in the process, haha.

It's amazing how we all use our hands and how it's impossible for them not to be in our sight for most of the time, and yet the anatomy is so foreign to many of us and drawing them is so hard.
Thanks for making this, it's inspired me not to give up. ^^

Haha, well it helps to try to simplify them a bit. I'm still not great at it but I've improved over my old horrible way of drawing them with a bit of practice. I'm glad you're not going to give up, hands are totally do-able if you put your mind to it!

Mmm. I just find them to be such strange looking things. >< But your tutorial has helped. As I was looking through it, I started doing some studies for practise, and it's going alright-ish. I was requested to do this painting for my brother's church and it involved Jesus holding the cross, which meant hands. D8 But, I used your tips in this and it helped soo much. Thank you~.

this may come in "handy" lol, because im TERRIBLE at drawing hands. they either come out too small or too big, or just plain wrong. *twitches right eye*
