Pinter and Angora caught a rainstorm... It's not actually her fault this time, but Pinter's still not convinced.I've been meaning to do some finished thing with them in it but have been putting it off... since I finished sketching up Ch. 7 of my comic last week I thought the momentum might be able to carry me a bit further.
Fun story, I've been working on another comic-related painting for like the whole last week but I'm getting so bored of it. So I woke up at 5 this morning with the intention of focusing on it and getting it done and wound up doing this instead T__T haha... oh well, hopefully I can finish up that other one tonight or something.

AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! I KNEW IT! ALL OF THESE YEARS OF LOOKING AT YOUR TUTS AND THINKING, "Huh, this guy's got it down. I like his style." and then NEVER GETTING AROUND to actually checking your profile out and then finding The Meek through Curvy (the comic) and not making the connection until some freak-spontaneous Tutorial jaunt on dA!!!!!!!(a.k.a. today) I was just like, "Hey, I remember these tutorials from forever ago. They look kinda like... *GASP* OHMYGLOB!!!!! asdfhjklgrglll..." orz;;;; I don't think anything has hit me that hard before.... Your art is completely amazing and I love it. I'm sorry for yelling.

I really, really love your art style. Especially the way you colour, it's just so perfect !... I wish I could do this.

This isn't supposed to be rude or an attack on you, so please please please don't take it that way, but are you trying to draw "american cartoons" or "anime"? My friend and I were discussing it, saying that because they had noses and not noodle bodies they weren't anime, but the eyes and mouths just scream anime to me. Clarification plz 'A'?
Also, your images are always really crsip and the colours are goddamn delicious. I want to stuff them in my face and chew on them like tootsie pops. I don't know, it gives me the impression the colouring would crack like tootsie pops do.

My style is a mix between the two, I wouldn't say they were one or the other... I was really influenced by anime when I was growing up, but went back to enjoying non-anime animation while I was relearning how to draw. Right now I just think of it as my comic style, not a specific style

Aaaah okay. That makes a lot of sense now. Your style definitely looks like something that translates well over into animation, but wasn't the typical Disney/Western/Oh-god-banana-teeth animation, but wasn't Uguu~ anime either.

I have some resources that I get info from, like journal articles or whatever. The area I did work in is somewhat specialized. I'm not active in research at the moment so it isn't as big a priority to me.

No prob, it's just hard to find people to nerd out to about biology/sciences online without them having like crazy ass ideas about stuff or being really sensitive about it. Sounds like you really enjoy your field though :3
