Arturo
Hearing the faint rustling of leaves and grass, Arturo flicked one ear into the direction of an approaching horse. He sighed, what a perfect moment to be seen. He didn’t like it that someone would find him like this, all angry and emotional. His body was aching from the physical effort and the sudden range he had gone through, his heart was slowly going back to a normal pace, just as his breathing.

He gathered himself and stood straight again, turning his head towards the mare that was approaching. It was Tamera, a mare knight. He nodded towards her to greet her. Arturo raised a brow by her question but held back the anger that was still crawling along his spine. “Hello Tamera, yes I was training. Something ALL knights should do right now.”

He narrowed his eyes, he didn't like to admit it, but he was very unhappy that his herd’s knight ranks had been overtaken by mares lately. Apparently it made him quite uneasy. As he mustered Tamera his fears were raising even higher. She was a large mare, almost a hand taller than him but she was very slim and lean, typical full blooded body type. Within a short glimpse he imagined her being crushed by the Bachelors 19 hands tall red roan draft stallion. His worries flared up like a fierce infection, he was going crazy.

He shook his head to get rid of the thought, but it still lingered around his head like a cloud of smog. Suddenly it took him again, this stupid urge he had. “Tamera, may I ask you a personal question.” He waited for her reply but decided that he would rather keep going on with his question. “How come you are a knight? Please forgive me the blunt question, but you seem like a runner type for scouting. What will you do, when we march against the Bachelor STALLIONS?” Oh, just after the words had escaped his mouth, he knew he had gotten himself into something bad. He mustered Tamera and made a step backwards and his neck hair started to raise a little bit. He should have kept his mouth.

Tamera
“True to bones, Arturo. I was just making the round real quick before stopping to find a place to train until i heard you from a few ways back.” She had heard off the stallions sense of righteousness and also how he tends have a beliefs about how mares would be suited to take care of the elderly and foals.

To Tamera Arturo reminder her of the Bachelors stallions back in her birth herd though his temperament was way different then them but the sight of him big a big brute made her a bit uneasy.

“Yes you may I do not m-” She answered half way as he went on to asked another question. She looked back at him wondering what he wanted to asked her but it was about her becoming a Knight. What struck her as to why he would ask such a thing , even though she heard rumors of him offending mares about this what was the reason he wanted to know? Then as he went on sounding as if he was insulting her just because she was a mare. Just because she was a mare that doesn’t mean she couldn’t hold her own depending the type of stallion she was up against. She was starting to feel her blood boil with every single word that came out of his mouth. Tamera’s face started to look like as if she was restraining herself but at last it was a futile attempt.

"Are you implying all mares ARE WEAK?!” her tone starting to rise with each of her words escaping her mouth and she pounded her right hoof down to the ground.

“WHAT WILL I DO IF I WAS UP AGAINST A BACHELOR STALLION YOU ASK? WELL LET ME TELL YOU I WOULD KICK THE STALLION RIGHT IN HIS FACE AND BREAK HIS SORRY BUTT EXCUSE OF A JAW!!”

as she is now shouting at the stallion , she extended her neck and body close to him with anger in her eyes. The mare was furious at the mention of her begin weak, she just lost it. Throughout the years of her life she grew up in the Bachelor herd it was her birth herd. She used to fear most of them mainly the one that she ended kicking in the face and blinding the stallion in the eye.

As fast as she was at raising her voice she soon snapped out of her short furious state of mind. The look that stallion gave off as he backed up and his ears are backwards made her instantly knew she lashed out at him like she did a few times before at other herd members. Tamera blinked several times and started to withdraw back and looked to the side averting her gaze at him. She shifted her legs and pawed at the ground while sawing her tail from side to side in an uncomfortable way.

“you should ask in a way that makes it sound like an insult towards the opposite gender...this is what happens if you do…Beside its not like I was born here like you did...I-I escaped from the bachelor herd.”
