38 weeks; Discomfort

November 11th 2017 - 11am; Hannah's POV.
Hannah lay across the sofa at home, having been practically put on house arrest by her stresshead of a husband for a few days now. Every kick, every movement that caused Hannah to make any sound other than talking caused Lewis to have a heart attack, flapping about like he did when she got her first symptoms.
"You try being kicked from the inside and not making a sound, it bloody hurts you know!" Hannah would say every time, causing Lewis to back away. This had persisted for several weeks now, ever since she'd started getting pain from being kicked in the ribs.
"Lewis." Hannah huffed as she struggled to put her shoes on beyond her large stomach, "I'm going to the offices. I need to record so there's stuff when the little'un comes!" She called, causing him to come into the room.
"Well that's great, because I need to.. sort out some emails. Oh, and record too.." He murmured, though Hannah could easily tell he was making excuses so that he could keep an eye on her. Hannah simply grumbled, pushing herself up from the sofa and pulling on her hoodie and scarf, wrapping it tight around her neck.
"Car or walking?" Lewis asked as he pulled on his own jacket. Hannah thought for a second before giving her answer.
"Walk, it's only 10 minutes and I need some air." She said softly, waddling over to the door and opening it, lifting her face away from the scarf so she could breathe in the cool, crisp air which whurred outside. She smiled happily as she waddled out onto the street, Lewis close behind her, monitoring her every step.

11:47am; Lewis' POV.
They soon reached the offices, Hannah making her way down the corridor to her office as Lewis followed.
"Where are you going?" Hannah asked, not turning to face him as she stopped dead in the corridor, "I may have heavy footing for a pregnant woman but I can still tell you're behind me."
"I just wanted to make sure.." He began but was stopped.
"I'm fine. If I wasn't, I wouldn't be here." She sighed before going into her office, shutting the door and sitting back in her chair, huffing slightly in annoyance. Lewis gave up, going to his office in defeat. He sat down as he decided to go down his reddit AMA, answering some questions as his mind raced with thoughts. His thoughts were filled with Hannah, how much pain she could be in within the next few weeks.. days.. hours.. Oh god. He shook his head, changing his trail of thoughts to something happier. He imagined holding their child, watching it grow up. Maybe one day he or she would be in his position, threating over what was about to happen. A smile cracked on his face as he imagined everything that was ahead of them, all the sleepless nights, the first school days, endless achievements from their son or daughter. He only snapped out of this trance when he felt something drip from his cheek and he realised a few tears had escaped, which he laughed softly at himself for. He wiped his eyes as he put his attention back to reddit, continuing what he was doing.

12:03pm; Hannah's POV.
Hannah had loaded up everything she needed to record and had begun to record but she was struggling. No matter how she tried to sit, she was constantly uncomfortable. If she finally found a position where she thought she was comfortable, the baby would shift position slightly, therefore ending any sense of comfort she clung to. Eventually she just leant back in her chair, beginning to scroll down Facebook. She saw posts from her friends, showing images of their babies and laughed quietly to herself, realising how she'd become like one of them. She leant forward, reaching for a bottle of water when she hissed slightly as she felt a sharp, shooting pain in her lower back. Her hand travelled to her back, gently rubbing circles in it, the pain disappearing after a few seconds. She furrowed her brows, sure she'd dealt with back pain for months now but she hadn't experienced anything like that.

Hannah ignored the pain, passing it off as sitting up too fast. She continued her attempts at recording for several more hours, until around 4 in the afternoon, at which point she'd had enough. She prepared herself to leave, sorting out her hoodie and scarf as she stood. Her hand reached for the door handle though it missed as she gained a large tightening sensation around her lower stomach, causing her to place a hand on the wall for support. It passed after around 20 seconds and she was left confused and worried, one hand on her stomach as the other slowly pulled away from the wall. She shook her head, praying that it was just a strong braxton as she made her way to Lewis' office, slightly shaken though she kept it hidden.
"Lew, can we go home?" She asked softly as she poked her head into his office. Lewis quickly shut down what he was doing, pulling on his jacket as he walked over to the door, his eyes averting hers, much like a child who had been told off. Hannah let out a soft sigh as she took his hand, beginning to walk out.
"I'm sorry I snapped.." She breathed, "Being put on house arrest by your husband isn't exactly the most exhilirating thing ever.." She joked, nudging him. Lewis rolled his eyes as he let out a soft chuckle, burying himself into his scarf slightly as they got outside.
"It's fine, I shouldn't challenge your hormones.." He chuckled, holding her hand as they walked.

18:45pm; Lewis' POV.
Lewis was busy in the kitchen, cooking a meal for him and Hannah when he heard a gasp followed by quiet murmurs from the living room. He poked his head round the corner to see Hannah curled up on the sofa, her hand on her stomach as she looked at the clock. She relaxed after a few seconds, uncurling herself as she let out a sigh.
"Almost 3 hours apart.." She murmured firstly, "26 seconds.." She added, finally tearing her eyes away from the clock just as Lewis walked in.
"What are you talking about?" He asked softly, sitting down beside her for a few minutes. Hannah lifted her head from where she lay, shifting her body upwards so she was sitting up.
"Contractions.. I think anyway." She said softly, looking at her stomach. "Do. Not. Panic." She added before he spoke again.
"So.. You're in labour?.." He asked, keeping calm for her as he didn't want to get snapped at. Hannah nodded in response, leaning her head against a pillow. "
"Yeah but not properly I guess. I mean, they're 3 hours apart Lew, I could have days yet." She sighed, "I'm just very uncomfortable right now.." She added, shifting slightly. Lewis nodded gently as he stroked her side, smiling.
"Alright, just tell me if it gets worse or you want anything." He said softly, hiding his internal panic. "We're gonna be parents soon.." He grinned.
