Description
Inspired by the description of new cranial material from the quintessential Terror Bird,
here is a graphite portrait of Phorusrhacos longissimus, who just used its massive beak to strike a blow
at a prey. Phorusrhacos lived in South America during the mid to late Miocene. I partially based my reconstruction
on its living relatives, the Seriema and eagles for the morphological similarities.

I saw the new material from a link a friend of mine on Instagram sent me! It was neat to see that Phorusrhacos has more material found!
