Not really having too good of a day today, and I am quite busy/tired too, but I've decided to still try posting this on time.

So, a pokeball is the 100th pokemon. Interesting... wonder if that was purposeful. Is there some symbolism here? Or am I just reading too much into this
In any case, Voltorb line! Many people call it very lazy, but I'm honestly kinda fine with it. If any gen is gonna pull a "pokeball pokemon", it's most forgivable in the first one. And, besides, it has a pretty neat overworld gimmick, later replicated by other pokemon. One thing I'll say tho, did it really need to be a pokemon that evolves? It just turns into a bigger pokeball. Would be kind of cooler if they simply made a single pokeball pokemon, I feel.Shiny
