Description
The suspence was beginning to get unbearable. Cora's been looking for her clan all night, and hasn't found anyone yet. They had to be around somewhere! So far, she's checked about three quarters of the forest and hasn't even found a hint of where they could be. Surely they fled the flames like how she did and are now around here somewhere? Anger and frusteration filled Cora's veins. How dare those Pokemon trainers burn her clan down! They will pay for what they've done- that is, after she find the survivers. The thought of those vile trainers killing all of her family and friends... no, it coudn't have happened, she won't let it happen. Cora was so preoccupied with her thoughts that she didn't notice the Pokemon about to crash into her.
"Whoa"! she shouted as she unceramoniously fell on to her back.
"Oh my gosh, are you okay? Im really sorry for bumping into you but- wait a minute your a shiny Eevee!"
Shiny? "Look I don't have much time right now" Cora muttered. She sat up and stood eye-to-eye with a Pikachu. His fur was a bit ruffled and, for some reason, there was a thunderbolt pattern of brown fur on his tail. "Have you seen any other Eevees?"
His expression darkened. "Oh... Arceaus im so sorry... I really dont want to scare you-"
"Too late"
"-but a bunch of Eevees and Eevee evolutions were loaded into a truck and driven away earlier"
"WHAT!!! THAT WAS MY CLAN THEY TOOK!!! YOU MEAN YOU JUST WATCHED  AS MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY WERE TAKEN AWAY BY EVIL POKEMON TRAINERS AND DIDN'T DO A THING!!! HOW COULD YOU!!"
The Picachu looked hurt. "First of all; you need to calm down, Second of all; I did try to do somthing:my friend and I have been chasing after those guys when we discovered they stole Pokemon, and wanted to bring them to justice. Third of all; not all Pokemon trainers are evil. There are some really good trainers out there!"
" In case you havn't noticed, a band of trainers is getting away with my clan right now! We need to after them!"
"Those guys are not trainers, they're theives! And can't you see that we won't be able to catch up with them on foot?" Those last few words rang in her head.
"You-you mean my familys... gone?" Tears began falling from Cora's eyes. "No! My familys gone! I'll never see them again!" She started sobbing "No! no no no no no! Please help me!"
You could tell the Pikachu wasn't used to this kind of situation. He akwardly started patting her back and tried to calm her down. "No, don't worry, uh, there is no need to cry because... um I'll-"
" There you are, Sparky!" Cora gasped in fear as a human emerged fron the bushes. "Where have you- oh sweet Arceaus a shiny Eevee!"
Great. So this is the Pikachu's 'friend'. "Please, Sparky" She whimpered. "Don't let him catch me, I need to find my clan." Cora didn't even get up, Sparky was oviously faster and stonger then her. If he lets the human catch her, she was doomed.
"Sparky" the human commanded "use thundershock!" Shoot. Cora closed her eyes and waited for the pain of electricity to peirce through her... yet it never came. "Sparky?" She opened her eyes to see Sparky grimly shaking his head to the trainer.
"I'm sorry, Ethan, but I can't. This Eevee wants to stay wild so she can find her family and save them from Team Rocket.  She also has a pretty low opinion when it comes to trainers."
Ethan looked confused "What? Are you hurt? You look fine... oh, that Eevee doesn't wan't to be captured, does it?"
The Pikachu nodded "Im sorry, but right now we need to report to the police if we wan't a chance at catching them"
The trainer nodded "Don't worry, I won't force her to come along. But right now we need to hurry and report to Officer Jenny if we still wan't to stand a chance at catching Team Rocket!"
Sparky looked a little irritated "I already said- oh never mind. Later Eevee"
"Wait! Your leaving already?" If these guys are going to where her clan is, as much as she hated to accompany a trainer, then Cora wanted to follow them. Besides, she have no idea where else to go...
The Pikachu looked a little suprised "Yeah, unless you don't wan't us catching those theives"
She shuffled my she a little "W-well, you see, I want to go with you guys, not as a captured pokemon!" She added quickly "But as... allies. Just so I can get my clan back"
The trainer, Ethen seemed to understand most of what she was saying "Wait, I thought you didn't wan't to join... or, is it that you just wan't to accumpany us?" Cora nodded vigorously "Yeah, I'll let you come, I mean, it is your family they took. But you should probably ride on my shoulder, or else trainers might realize your not my pokemon and try to catch you"
It had to be a trick. Ethan was trying to lure her close so he could catch her. Cora was about to turn tail and run when she realized Sparky was staring at her. His stare was like a challenge, a dare to try and trust whom he trusted. It was amazing how many words we exchanged trough simple eye-contact.
'Well, what are you going to do?'
'I can't trust him, he's evil!'
'Do you trust me?'
'I guss... but-'
'If you trusted me, you would do it'
'But-'
'I promise to protect you if anything happens'
'...well...'
'Please?'
I held his gaze for a few more moments, and jumped up on the Ethans shoulder.
