Description ------------
Present
Both Cora and the woman at the desk stood shock still during the story. Her clan… her clan… no. No.  No! NO! NO!!!
"How could I let this happen!!!! HOW!!!"
Cora had completely forgotten about her fear and jumped onto the desk.
"You have to help us!! Send everything you have after them!!!" She barked at the lady over and over, even though Cora knew the woman couldn't understand her.
She was eventually dragged away from the officer by Ethan. Sparky tried to calm her down, but his words sounded like nothing but babble to Cora; distant and unimportant.  She just stared blankly at him, her mind haunted with the images of her family burning, drowning, electrocuted… completely at the mercy of pure evil. Cora saw a vision of her mother, a Leafeon, shrieking in anguish as she tried to extinguish the horrifyingly large flame on her ear. Her body was a scary shade of yellow, like that of a withered leaf, and many parts of her body were completely black. The more she rolled, the larger the fire got, until it completely engulfed her body. She screeched and trembled as the flames ate away her tail, her ears, her legs…
MOM!!! Cora tried to go help her mother, but for some reason, she couldn't move… Cora looked down at her feet to see that they were tightly wrapped in vines.
The scene melted and Cora was looking down into the flooded Vaporeon's pond. Her father, an Umbreon, was desperately searching for air as he was sucked into an endless void of never ending water. Bubbles were streaming from his mouth at an impossible rate, and his rings were barely glowing. DAD!!! Cora dove into the water, swimming with all her might, but the harder she swam, the deeper her father sank.  The bubbles stopped escaping his mouth, and the world became very, very still.  The Umbreon stared at Cora with wide, empty eyes.
Suddenly, the water solidified, her father disappeared, and Cora was staring into her best friend's large, amber eyes. They displayed an ocean of fear and agony as electricity coursed through the Eevee's veins. She twitched and shuddered, her mouth open in a soundless scream. Then her eyes drooped… and slowly closed as the little fox dropped to the ground, with a Hypno smirking closely behind her. Why… why would Team Rocket do this!?
"Sparky!" She suddenly cried. "Please… you and Ethan take me to my clan. I... I n-need to see what happened. Please…"
For a while, Sparky just stared at her. His deep-brown eyes reading her pain, her fear, and her grief like a book. His eyes flashed with sympathy, sorrow, and then… understanding? No, not understanding, determination.
"I will do anything it takes to get you there" The Pikachu's voice was filled with such certainty, such firmness, that Cora couldn't help but sigh in relief. They sat in silence on the trainers shoulder for a while.
The officer broke the stillness "This Eevee" The woman pointed at Cora "Was the only one not captured?"
"Yes, Sparky did a good job sniffing her out, too. She was completely alone when we found her"
"Interesting" She typed a few things onto a computer
Suddenly, the doors slammed open, revealing a skinny man wearing a lab coat and glasses.
"I came as soon as I got the call!" he shouted "Ethan, are you alright?"
Ethan explained to the man, who seemed to be called Professor Elm, what happened again. Cora visibly winced when Ethan started telling him about the clan, and the images started to come back. The leader of her clan, an Espeon named Celtica, was firing orbs of darkness in every direction to try to fight off the intruders. She was completely surrounded by Ghastly and Haunters and Gengars, and all of them were circling her and chanting. Waves of distortion were coming off the Ghosts and enveloping the Espeon. Cora realized with a shock that they were trying to put her under hypnosis. Celtica's eyes got heavier with each passing second. Soon she couldn't focus enough to fire Shadow Balls… in only half a minute she was fast asleep. The ghosts circled around her, screeching taunts and curses to torment her in her sleep…
Ethan noticed Cora's expression, and decided to tell the professor a shortened, less detailed version.
"I see, I see." The Professor remarked "Well I must say, for your first day as a trainer, you handled the situation quite well, and Sparky already seems to have gotten much stronger! Now, where is the Eevee you rescued? I think I know-" He seemed to just notice Cora "The Eevee you saved is shiny?! That's incredible Ethan!!! What is its name? How did you catch it? How strong is it? Have you nicknamed it? What's its gender? What's its nature?"
"Professor"
"What moves can it use? Does it- hm? What is it, m'boy?"
Ethan looked a bit embarrassed "I didn't catch this Eevee; she's just accompanying me to help bring the downfall of Team Rocket."
"Even so, this is one of the rarest Pokémon in the world you've shown me!! I'm proud of you!!"
That cheered him up.
"Thank you, professor. Now, what were you going to say earlier?"
Elm's face brightened. "I was going to say that I knew how to communicate with this Eevee"
He took a Pokeball out of his lab coat pocket. "Go, Mrs. Ella!"
A red energy came from the Pokeball, and a large Pokémon appeared in front of Cora, a Mr. Mime. She looked very much like a clown, with large fingers and silly blue ears that looked like a jester's hat. But she had beautiful brown eyes, like those of a loving mother. Cora was reminded of where her mother probably was right now and felt tears coming on. Mrs. Nannie noticed this, her eyes flashed with sympathy, and picked her up right off Ethan's shoulder.
"There, there, child" Her words were sweet and soothing. She began to rock Cora back and forth. "There is no need to cry" Yet the more Mrs. Ella tried to comfort Cora, the worse the Eevee felt. Cora couldn't stop thinking of her mother screeching in agony as the flames consumed her... when the Leafeon herself seemed to wither and blacken on the spot...
"Oh, dear, you seem to have gone through much pain. Please, can I see what's troubling you? I'd be able to help more if I knew what was going on" She asked. Cora wasn't sure what the mime meant by that, but she seemed trustworthy. The Eevee nodded her head. Suddenly, Mrs. Nannie's eye's turned a bright shade of blue, and Cora fell fast asleep.
