As many of you are already aware, one of my favorite movies is the recently released "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom".

The "Jurassic Park" films have always been my favorites, mainly due to me being a big fan of dinosaurs ever since I was little. But the scene that stuck out to me when I first saw "Fallen Kingdom" was the death of the Brachiosaurus from the very first film in 1993.

Me and my fiancèe, aka , established a headcanon for the films so far, and part of it involved giving the dinosaurs names and personalities.

In this case, the Brachiosaurus from the first JP film and Fallen Kingdom, we named her "Makai" and her personality was similar to that of Grandmother Willow from Pocahontas. Many dinosaurs on Isla Nublar, as well as native inhabitant Shine and her wife Ariel, saw Makai as a wise motherly figure. She was so highly respected that not even Rexy dared to hunt her. In 2004, when newer dinosaurs were being introduced to the island for the new Jurassic World theme park, Makai was among those who welcomed them.

One in particular was an Apatosaurus named Patricia. While Makai was showing her around, she began to have feelings for the other sauropod. The two spent a few months getting to know each other, and not long afterward, the two dinosaurs confessed their love for each other and were practically inseperable. However, tragedy struck in 2015 when a hybrid dinosaur, Venus, also known as the Indominus rex, broke loose and terrorized the park. One of the hybrid's targets was an Apatosaurus in the Gyrosphere Valley. This was the herd that Patricia was the leader of. Makai had been waiting at an inland lake for Patricia, but when her mate never showed up, she grew worried. She kept searching until she was met with a devastating sight; Patricia's corpse, along with the other 5 members of her herd, laying lifeless in the valley. Makai let out the most mournful cry any dinosaur had ever heard and fell into a deep depression. Fast forward to 2018, Mt. Sibo was about to erupt, and Makai was one of the dinosaurs who helped many more escape the island when it finally blew. But deep down, Makai had no desire to leave. A Pteranodon named Mira told her about the ship about to depart, but Makai knew she would be too big and heavy for it. She planned to let herself die with the island, much to the pterosaur's dismay. Makai later made her way to the East Dock as the Arcadia sailed away, calling out to Ariel, who was watching what was happening with Owen Grady, Franklin Webb and Claire Dearing. Only Shine and Ariel were able to communicate with the dinosaurs and hearing Makai's final words left a big impact on everyone who knew and loved her.
