I was just trying stuff out..
This is just a test on using the Principled shader in
Blender 2.79..
I say, it is quite nice.. No fancy setups or anything..
Just used that giant thing of a shader..
This is the raw render..
No photoshop done..

Setup with custom roughness map
Rendered in 3840x2160 (bordered to 1643x2160)
at 350 samples with Filmic Blender
and denoise set to 0.10
Sill looks alright..
There should be a light blue light on her left shoulder.. tho..
Maybe the light was too weak.. and don't mind that weird bump
on the llace thing..
This is just a test..

Oh.. And Blender's latest 2.79b 32-bit has a bug.. Or is what I think it is..
It crashes as soon I hit render with Denoise on..
Even at 1 sample, it still crashes..
The 64-bit of it is working normally, tho..
but my PC is running on 32-bit.. So, yeah..

Not bad at all. With 350 samples it looks very decent. But one should remember, higher resolution = less samples.

Now that you mentioned that, I did a quickie at 200 samples.. It almost got this result..
But yeah.. I was amazed at the 350 samples..
Maybe I should try this on other models and make a real scene render..
I'm testing things out since I got some more time..

yep, anytime I render in 4K or larger resolution I use fewer samples.
Just do not forget to use AutoTile Blender plugin.
